Interviewing for a full-time engineering position will almost always involve an on-site interview. The interview visit starts when the host picks you up at the hotel (or meets you in the lobby) and ends when you and the host part ways. In other words, the interview lasts the whole duration of your visit. The format for on-site interviews varies but often involves the following:
- One-on-one meetings with several key players/decision makers
- Group meetings with the selection committee, coworkers and collaborators
- A formal job candidate seminar
- Informal interactions including meals
