Accreditation

The College of Engineering strives to offer and continuously improve state-of-the art learning opportunities for its students. Accreditation is part of this process. Accreditation provides an external evaluation of the quality of our degree programs.

Our Bachelor of Science degree programs in Aerospace, Agricultural, Biosystems, Chemical, Civil, Construction, Computer, Electrical, Industrial, Materials, Mechanical, and Software Engineering are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org/

Accreditation information for individual degree programs can be found below.

In order for students or graduates to take the Fundamentals of Engineering examination, the first step towards professional licensure, they must be in or have graduated from an ABET accredited program.

Iowa State University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
