ITS Minnesota fosters grassroots participation and public-private partnerships to inspire, educate, and support the use of intelligent transportation technology that improves safety, equity, and mobility for all Minnesotans.
Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAV) encompass a broad range of technologies that enhance transportation safety and mobility by integrating communication technologies into transportation infrastructure, vehicles, and other roadway users. ITS/CAV technologies improve traffic flow, reduce congestion, provide alternate route mapping, increase safety, allow for the safe deployment of connected and automated vehicles, increase mobility on demand, and can improve sustainability.
