Steel columns matching the unique design of the Marston Water Tower columns were revealed after brick removal.

Previously the tunnel to access the mechanical room located under the rotunda, this is now the new chilled water supply and return entrance to the building. The pipes shown connect to the campus chilled water system.

Carnegie Steel
Carnegie Steel has been uncovered in Marston Hall — this would have been manufactured on the East Coast and brought to campus by train. Carnegie Steel was sold to United States Steel Corporation in 1901.
