Why Engineering: I chose to pursue software engineering because I genuinely love problem-solving. My love for problem-solving first started in high school through my STEM classes, and ever since then, I knew I wanted to do engineering in some capacity.

Favorite ISU Memory: When Pete Davidson came for ISU AfterDark in 2018.

Something Unique About Me: I’m a certified AWS Cloud Practitioner.

Words of Wisdom: Please focus on getting your GPA as high as possible as early as possible. It is way easier as a freshman and sophomore, and a high GPA will always make you look good to employers. Also, apply early and often for internships, don’t doubt your chances just because you’re a freshman or sophomore, it’s better to try and fail than to not try at all, and all you need is for one to click. The earlier you put the work in, the sooner you’ll be able to reap the fruits of your labor.
