Why Engineering: As a child, I spent a lot of time taking things apart and figuring out how to put them back together. I always thought of this as a hobby until it was time to go to college. When I had to decide where I wanted to go and what I wanted to do, I had no clue and chose Mechanical Engineering and Iowa State sort of randomly.

Favorite ISU Memory: Spending 12 hours straight playing ultimate frisbee with friends.

Something Unique About Me: I currently have three jobs: a lab technician in a manufacturing lab on campus, a teaching assistant for mechanics of materials (E M 324), and a barista at Starbucks (which seems random, but I have worked there since high school, and it’s a lot of fun).

Words of Wisdom: If you do not know what to do with your life, try anything and everything. Join clubs related to your major or not, talk to everyone, and be an interesting and memorable person.
