Dr. Liu’s current research interests include (1) value-added use of agricultural and food byproducts; (2) nanocellulose, nanoencapsulation, nanoemulsion; (3) biobased materials including biodegradable coating/films, and biobased pesticides/fertilizers; (4) Novel food product development and food shelf life enhancement; (5) simulated in vitro food digestion and nutrient absorption.
