Honors and Awards, Professional Society Memberships:
Organized spot weld inspection program involving several industrial clients, including symposium following this 2-year study for public distribution of results Co-organized the first Metal Powder Industries Federation symposium dedicated solely to the nondestructive inspection of powder metallurgy components, Ames, IA, July 1998. Performed research in the nondestructive measurement of stresses and flaw detection in rails; research projects have been funded by the BNSF Railroad, Sperry Rail Service, and Krautkramer/AGFA. Participated in project funded by Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Midwest Forensic Center to apply ultrasonic and magnetic techniques for recovery of forensic evidence
