Dr. Mustafa Sagun is the Chief Investment Officer for Principal Global Equities. He oversees portfolio management and research for all international, domestic, and global equities strategies. Sagun has managed global equity portfolios since 2002 and he has also served as a member of the firm’s asset allocation strategy team. Sagun has been in the financial sector since 1991 and he joined the firm in 2000. Prior to his current role, Sagun was a Vice President and an Analyst for PNC Financial Services Group. He was also employed as an Equity Derivatives Specialist at Salomon Brothers. Sagun received his Ph.D. in finance and an MA in International Economics from the University of South Florida. He received his bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Engineering from Bogazici University of Turkey. Sagun has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Iowa.
