Background
In order to complete this homework you will need to obtain a working copy of the U.S. EPA's 'FATE' model (written by Professor Govind at the Unversity of Cincinnati).


Problem 1
What are the H, Kow, and Kb constants for the following compounds: acetone, benzene, carbon tetrachloride, chloroform, bromoform, benzo(a)pyrene, and toluene?


Problem 2
Use the model 'FATE' to determine the respective sorption, biodegradation, stripping, and volatilization percentages for each of the seven (7) compounds listed in Problem #1, based on a 10 MGD primary plus activated sludge system...and 1 mg/L of each such compound in the raw wastewater influent.
