Tenaska is one of the largest independent energy companies in the United States. It develops, owns and operates large-scale, non-utility power plants; markets natural gas, electricity and biofuels and related commodities. In addition to conventional natural-gas fueled generating plants, Tenaska is developing two cutting-edge coal-fueled plants that will use commercial technology at full utility scale to capture and store carbon dioxide, as well as solar generation stations. The company also is engaged in natural gas exploration and production and, through its private equity funds, natural gas midstream ventures.
