Mansell is an Associate Professor and the Karen and Dennis Vaughn Faculty Fellow in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Iowa State University. He earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 2004 and M.S.E. in Chemical Engineering in 2005 from Johns Hopkins University, followed by a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Cornell University in 2011.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Following his doctoral studies, Dr. Mansell completed a postdoctoral research appointment in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he worked in synthetic biology, cellular circuits, and chemical genomics. He joined the faculty at Iowa State University in 2015 and is also affiliated with Iowa State\u2019s Interdepartmental Microbiology Graduate Program.<\/p>\r\nThroughout his career at Iowa State, Dr. Mansell has contributed to research and education at the intersection of chemical engineering, biology, and microbiology.
