How do I get my child on a FIRST<\/em> LEGO League team?<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

This is the question that we hear most often from families. We recommend checking with your local school or community group to see if they have a team or if there is interest in starting one. You can also check the <\/span>FIRST <\/span><\/i>official website team search page<\/span><\/a> to identify teams already started in your community, some have provided contact information. Because of <\/span>FIRST <\/span><\/i>privacy guidelines, we cannot distribute coach contact information directly to inquiring families.<\/span> We highly recommend considering starting a new team.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Becoming a Coach<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

    People of all backgrounds and abilities make successful coaches. Adults act as a facilitator and learn alongside the youth. Each team kit comes with the resources needed for the season\u2019s challenge, along with several online resources. <\/span><\/p>\n

    Iowa State Engineering Outreach also actively supports coaches with virtual Coach Calls (which are recorded), an Iowa Coaches Facebook group, and a bi-weekly newsletter.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
