FIRST & LEGO Partnership Update

On March 19, 2026, FIRST and LEGO Education announced that their partnership will end after the 2026-2027 season of FIRST LEGO League. Their official statements and FAQs can be found here:
2026-2027 Iowa Season
The 2026-2027 Iowa FIRST LEGO League season will move forward with the same caliber and quality you have experienced in previous years. As a Founders Edition season, teams may continue using their existing equipment, including SPIKE, EV3, and other LEGO materials. There is no requirement for teams in Iowa to purchase LEGO’s new Computer Science and AI kits to participate in the 2026-2027 season.
