Internships, Co-ops, and Research:
Summer of 2022, North Central Region Water Network Watershed Management Research and Outreach Undergraduate Internship.

Why Engineering: I chose engineering because I want to make a change in the world and I saw that an Engineering degree would give me the tools and knowledge to solve problems. I chose Agricultural Engineering, Land and Water specifically because it will allow me to work with pollution prevention and ensure clean water.

Favorite ISU Memory: My favorite ISU memory is walking around campus and taking pictures, especially when the leaves first turn and fall as well as when everything is covered in fresh snow. Being outside on Iowa State’s Campus usually makes me happy.

Something Unique About Me: I am the first person in my family to pursue an undergraduate degree in Iowa! I enjoy the flat terrain in Iowa and have picked up a biking hobby while here. My longest ride was in the second semester of my sophomore year when I rode 54.28 miles in which I crossed the High Trestle Trail bridge and made it to Woodward, Iowa.

Words of Wisdom: You came to Iowa State for your degree. Prioritize your studies but also get to meet your peers, pursue leadership opportunities, turning things down is okay, always fill out the OneApp to apply for scholarships, and have fun! Never feel bad asking for help, college is hard but you can do it, never give up.
