For Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering: Students must meet English proficiency requirements and financial requirements to be considered for the 2+2 program at LZJTU. Students are accepted into the program early in the first semester of their freshman year to begin preparatory classes prior to applying to Iowa State University during their sophomore year.
Students in civil, construction, or environmental engineering must:
- Obtain a 71 on the TOEFL
- Earn a GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale)
- Have a virtual interview in the spring prior to admission
For Computer Engineering: Students who are studying electronic information engineering, computer science, or software engineering at LZJTU are eligible to apply for the 2+2 program at Iowa State University. Students must satisfy English proficiency requirements and all other admission requirements of the College of Engineering. Computer engineering students also should contact the Lanzhou coordinator of the program before they apply to Iowa State.
