Active Learning Workshop Series

Want to improve your teaching effectiveness and increase student engagement without investing large amount of time on course redesign? Learn how to incorporate active learning strategies into your engineering courses – based on years of education research and inspired by real teaching examples. 

Register for this workshop series and join your engineering colleagues for two lively sessions demonstrating high-impact teaching practices. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion of the workshop series.

When: Friday, September 6, 1 – 2 p.m. and Friday, October 4, 1 – 2 p.m.

Who is eligible: Faculty members (tenured, tenure-eligible, term) who have a minimum of one semester teaching experience in the College of Engineering.

Description: Participants will attend two sessions that address evidence-based practices in active learning and inductive teaching.

Time commitment: Two 60-minute sessions
