The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Science Mission Directorate (SMD) announces that its annual NASA Research Announcement (NRA), Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) – 2025 will be released on or about July 10, 2025.

ROSES is an omnibus solicitation with many individual program elements, each with its own due dates and topics. Table 2 and Table 3 of this NRA, which will be posted at https://solicitation.nasaprs.com/ROSES2025table2 and https://solicitation.nasaprs.com/ROSES2025table3, respectively, provide proposal due dates and hypertext links to descriptions of the solicited program elements of this NRA. Together, these program elements cover the wide range of basic and applied supporting research and technology in space and Earth sciences supported by SMD.

The mission of the TDD comprises critical technology discovery and development programs, to include the development, maturation, demonstration and transition of critical technologies and products through technology programs and customer support for Future Vertical Lift (FVL), Air and Missile Defense, and Long-Range Precision Fires. Specifically, the mission of FVL programs is to modernize, maintain and sustain Army Aviation as the dominant land force aviation component in the world. The missions of the Missile Defense and Long-Range Precision Fires programs are to modernize, maintain and sustain Army Missile Technologies as a dominant component of the land force’s precision strike, close combat, and air defense capabilities. This mission comprises critical technology discovery and development programs, to include Long-Range Precision Fires (LRPF) and hypersonic missiles, advanced launchers for Fires and Air Defense, close combat systems, and air defense systems including missiles, radars and fire control/mission planning, and also counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) capabilities, that enable the Army to counter and defeat increasingly sophisticated threats in multi-domain operations. TDD accomplishes its mission by:- Providing DEVCOM Aviation & Missile Center with resources and capabilities to support
– Army future Research and Development (R&D) Portfolio requirements
– Research and Development requirements from other customers
– Transitioning technology, products, and capabilities to customers as well as other organizations in the Center
– Enhancing complementary and integrated capabilities in areas of research and development, integration, prototyping, test, administration with other organizations
– Enhances Technology development and engineering activities to better meet the needs of the Warfighter
– Coordinating and collaborating on S&T efforts with Air Force, Navy, FAA, NASA, DARPA and other Government organizations

The National Cancer Institute intends to publish a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to solicit applications for the continued development and sustainment of high value informatics research resources to improve the acquisition, management, analysis, and dissemination of data and knowledge across the cancer research continuum including cancer biology, cancer treatment and diagnosis, early cancer detection, risk assessment and prevention, cancer control and epidemiology, and/or cancer health disparities. As a component of the NCI’s Informatics Technology for Cancer Research (ITCR) Program, this NOFO will focus on sustaining operations and maintaining and evolving the scientific relevance of existing, widely-adopted informatics tools and resources. This is in contrast to early-stage and advanced development efforts to generate these tools and resources that will be supported by companion ITCR NOFOs. The central mission of ITCR is to promote research-driven informatics technology across the development lifecycle to address priority needs in cancer research. In order to be successful, the application must provide clear justification for why the research resource should be maintained and how it has benefited and will continue to benefit the cancer research field. In addition, mechanisms for assessing and maximizing the value of the resource to researchers and supporting close engagement between the resource and the targeted research community should be described.

This NOFO invites applications to support the sustained operations of informatics technology resources that support a wide range of cancer research, including discovery biology, population studies, as well as clinical and translational research. The emphasis will be on sustaining resources that have had a demonstrated impact on cancer research. In addition, all projects proposed in response to this NOFO must involve the following general attributes:

  • Evidence that the technology has had significant impact on cancer research to date and the sustainment plan will lead to the continued advancement of cancer research
  • Robust plans for supporting the end-user community including documentation, training, and other outreach activities
  • Clear processes for engaging end users to address emerging needs of the targeted research communities to ensure that the research resource maintains relevance to the research it supports

This NOFO will invite applications for the enhancement and dissemination of emerging, user-friendly informatics technologies that support a wide range of cancer research, including discovery biology, population studies, as well as clinical and translational research. The emphasis will be on uniqueness and potential impact on cancer research. In addition, all projects proposed in response to this NOFO must involve the following general attributes:

  • Potential to advance driving cancer research projects and the cancer research field in general;
  • Offers clear advantages over competing technologies in the targeted cancer research domain;
  • Provides compelling plans and processes for supporting and engaging end users to evaluate and apply the tool or resource;
  • Provides plans for advancing use of the tool or resource by the targeted community through collaboration, outreach, and training;

The primary objective of this grant program is to develop knowledge that has the potential of increasing the supply of affordable housing as expressed in the Presidential Memorandum: Delivering Emergency Price Relief for American Families and Defending the Cost-of-Living Crisis. Applicants are invited to select topics from the research categories (Section III.G) with the aim of identifying or developing outcomes that will result in an increase in affordable housing supply. HUD encourages research projects that not only study the effects of interventions but also suggest pathways and strategies for adopting or scaling effective interventions, whether through public policy or industry practices that reduce the time of housing construction and deployment.
