Kira Schulze
Hi! My name is Kira Schulze and I am currently a junior in Civil Engineering. I am originally from Osceola, WI. I have been in ELE since freshman year and have loved every second of it! I am club president and my goal for you is that after coming to our club you are well prepared to face any challenges engineering may throw at you. We want you to develop strong leadership skills and practice professionalism. In my free time I love to be outside, hang out with friends, and enjoy time on the lake. This past spring I attended Swansea University in Wales for a semester abroad. Please reach out with any questions about our club or getting involved! I hope to see you all at meetings!

Victor Mendez
I’m Victor Mendez, the treasurer for Emerging Leaders in Engineering. I’m a sophomore studying Mechanical Engineering at Iowa State University, and I’m originally from Ottumwa, IA. I’ve been part of ELE since my freshman year, I really enjoyed coming to meetings and was motivated to join the leadership team. In my free time, I like hanging out with friends, watching soccer, and playing with my cat. I’m also involved in the SolidWorks Club; I find designing things super fun!

Alexa Peters
My name is Alexa Peters and I am so excited to be Social Media Chair this year! I am currently a junior in construction engineering, originally from Jefferson, IA. In my free time I love to attend sporting events, hang out with friends, and read books. I’ve been in ELE since the beginning of freshman year, and I am excited to promote it by continuing in this executive role!

Hello, I am Ben Dauman, and I am a Sophomore studying mechanical engineering. I am the Vice President of Emerging Leaders in Engineering and have been a part of ELE since the beginning of my freshman year. I am from Andover, Minnesota. Other things that I am involved with on campus is as the Vice President of Linden Hall and well as a Residence Hall Senator for Student Government. In my free time I like spending time with friends and playing games.

Azuriah Ryker
Hello, I’m Azuriah Ryker, a freshman in undeclared engineering. I am from Waukee, IA. I joined ELE in the Fall of 2025 my freshman year. I am the Director of Operations- my job is to manage club memberships and send out the weekly emails. In my free time I love hanging out with my dogs, playing video games, and being outside

Hello, my name is Martin Troy and I’m studying Mechanical Engineering as a Freshman. I grew up in Naperville, IL, and just love to be with friends, any kind of exercise, and watching good movies. Despite me being a little newer to Iowa State, I’ve been attending ELE since the my beginning here and have really enjoyed the community and experiences I’m coming across. I’m super excited for this semester to see what’s in store.
