Schedule an appointment with an advisor in Engineering Career Services. We are here to assist you. To avoid waiting and ensure that an advisor will be available to meet with you, it\u2019s recommended that you schedule an appointment using\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cyhire.iastate.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CyHire<\/a>, but we also have drop-in advising available. We can meet however is most convenient for you: In-person, virtually, or via phone. Career advising appointments can be scheduled through <a href=\"https:\/\/cyhire.iastate.edu\/students\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CyHire<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"paragraph-widget paragraph-widget--text-html\">\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<div>\n<div>\n<h4>How to Schedule a Career Advising Appointment in\u00a0CyHire:<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Click the Appointments Tab\u00a0on the left side of your CyHire homepage.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Select from the available times that best align with your schedule and book your appointment.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Depending on your preference, you can adjust your view from the default list to a day, week, or month view.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">You can also apply various filters if you would like. However, it is not necessary to do so. Your Engineering Career Advisors will be able to assist you in all areas.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">You will then need to enter details for your appointment, such as:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Preferred<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> appointment type.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This selection does not limit what you can ask in an appointment. We want to answer any questions you have.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Location.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Allows you to select an in-person or virtual appointment.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Additional Information and Attachments.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Let us know any information that may help us before your appointment, and provide applicable documents, such as a resume, before a resume review.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"paragraph-widget paragraph-widget--text-html\"><div class=\"text-content\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Drop-In Advising<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div\n\tclass=\"paragraph-widget paragraph-widget--text-html\">\n\t<div class=\"text-content\">\n\t\t<div class=\"paragraph-widget paragraph-widget--text-html\">\n<div class=\"text-content\">\n<p>If you just have a quick question or an immediate concern, we have two drop-in options for you:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Stop by our office (3200 Marston Hall) to see if a career advisor is available. Drop-in hours are M-F 9am &#8211; 3pm.<\/li>\n<li>Use the convenient chat feature in the bottom right corner of our website. This is monitored by our staff during business hours.
