The program is open to all undergraduate students at Iowa State University who meet the course prerequisites. The specific elective courses you plan to take must be noted in the additional notes section.<\/li>\n<li>Submit to your advisor for signature and continued routing.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Students are strongly encouraged to consult either their undergraduate academic advisor or the Biomedical Engineering advisor for assistance with selecting elective courses.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div\n\tclass=\"paragraph-widget paragraph-widget--text-html\" id=\"requirements\">\n\t<div class=\"text-content\">\n\t\t<h2 class=\"entry-title\">Minor Requirements<\/h2>\n<article id=\"post-8\" class=\"post-8 page type-page status-publish hentry\">\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p><em>Last Revised: 2\/12\/2026<\/em><\/p>\n<p>A minimum of 17 credits meeting the six requirements below along with catalog policies for minors defined by the catalog declared. No more than 3 credits of 4900 credit may be applied to this minor.<\/p>\n<p><em>Note: Ideally you would take BIOL 2120, then together take BME 2200 and BIOL 2560 or 3350.
