Armed with a journalism degree from Iowa State, Travis comes from a strong video background, with an extremely diverse body of work. After graduating from ISU, Travis spent nine years in the news industry from WOI-TV to the FOX NEWS Channel’s San Francisco Bureau (with a couple stops in between), then became a freelancer in San Francisco working on just about every cable television show and sporting event you can think of.
In 2004, Travis moved back to central Iowa, spending a year at KDSM FOX 17 as creative services director before opening his own video production company in downtown Des Moines. As the owner/operator of thrillcat editorial, Travis worked on a wide variety of projects including broadcast television commercials, national episodic television, and live concert DVDs.
Travis is also a self-admitted new media junkie, so if you have questions about YouTube, Facebook or Twitter, he’s the guy. Oh, and he never does anything the normal way. He recycled the box long ago and has never looked back. Travis also thinks it’s strange to keep referring to himself in the third person.
