College of Engineering Commencement Receptions (for preview)

 

College of Engineering Graduate Commencement Reception

5:30 - 7 p.m.

Graduates earning master's and doctorate degrees are invited to join dean Mark J. Kushner and associate dean for research and outreach, Ted Okiishi, for a special commencement reception honoring your achievements.

The event features an informal student recognition program, a delicious hors d'oeuvres buffet and cash bar. Business attire is suggested.

Each graduate will be introduced during the recognition program and asked to briefly address the audience. Students should RSVP with the total number of guests, and there is no limit to the number of guests a graduate may bring. Family members and guests do not need to RSVP separately.

Congratulations graduates! It's time to celebrate at a special, complimentary event: the College of Engineering Pre-Commencement Receptions.

Each department in the College of Engineering will host a commencement reception. Graduates will be recognized individually during the programs within their respective department. **Each graduate will be introduced by their department chair and asked to speak briefly about their plans after graduation.**

LOCATION ASSIGNMENTS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! Updates will be available on the college web page, so please check back frequently.

There is no limit to the number of guests you may bring to the reception. Please register for the total number of people in your party.

CAPS & GOWNS: Caps and gowns are not required for the college departmental receptions. Business attire is suggested for the departmental receptions.

UNIVERSITY COMMENCEMENT: University commencement ceremony for students receiving bachelor degrees will be held in Hilton Coliseum on Saturday, May 5, beginning at 1:30 p.m. Questions about the all-university commencement ceremony and diplomas should be directed to the ISU Graduation Office at 515-294-2756.
