How to apply?

Eligibility:

You must be:

·        A graduating senior

·        Admitted to Iowa State University as a freshman for the 2008 fall semester

Special attention will be given to:

1.            Applicants that have demonstrated contributions or commitment to diversity efforts in their school or community

2.            Need-based applicants

3.            Composite ACT scores ranging from 18-25

4.            Demonstrated leadership and strong community service

5.            Strong recommendation from a school teacher or administrator

Application Procedure:

In order to apply to be a participant of SPEED students need to:

1.      Accept Iowa State’s offer of admission for the fall semester.

2.      Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by April 1, 2008.

3.      Submit a personal statement describing why you want to participate in the program.

4.      Submit a letter of recommendation from a school teacher or administrator.

5.      Submit a resume

6.      Complete and mail the SPEED application as well as all supporting documents by April 15, 2008 to receive top priority.
