SPEED is an eight-week intensive summer program for engineering incoming first-year students at Iowa State University. This academic program will help students become acclimated to life on campus and the rigors of engineering studies during the summer before their freshmen year.
In addition to taking preparation courses, SPEED students are involved in a variety of professional and personal development activities including: Professional development workshops, industrial field trips and leadership workshops, while building relationships and connecting with faculty, staff, and peers.
Earn up to $200 a week for 8 weeks while enhancing math, physics, and computer programming skills as well as interacting with industry, developing a peer-network, and acclimating to the university environment.
