The 2050 Challenge is the College of Engineering’s vision for the challenges our world will face in the next 40 years. Renewable energy, abundant clean water, health care, sustainable agriculture, safe roads, and preventing natural disasters—these are all problems our society needs to address in the future. “Engineering: The 2050 Challenge” camps will introduce participants to the 2050 Challenge and give them the opportunity to learn how engineers at Iowa State University are working to address these problems now. Like all ISEK (Iowa State Engineering Kids) camps, these are hands-on camps where participants get to work alongside engineers to learn about engineering, science, and technology.
“Engineering: The 2050 Challenge” is a two-day camp that runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, with lunch included. There are two identical camp sessions offered for each age group. The cost for “Engineering: The 2050 Challenge” is $60.
