Graduate student Sahar Da’Er, is seeking solutions to a water crisis in her homeland of Sana’a, Yemen. Working with Kaoru Ikuma, assistant professor of CCEE, Da’Er is studying algae as a cost-effective and sustainable wastewater treatment strategy to help provide communities with safe, clean water.
