News release: Any brief (about 500 words) announcement or acknowledgement of a person, award, or event deemed to have immediate, time-sensitive news value to the college. Usually posted to the web; when appropriate, supplied to University News Service for media distribution.

Web support: Work directly related to maintaining or restoring a web page's basic ability to function.
