About the positions

The world faces critical challenges in the coming decades that require innovative solutions to maintaining a high quality of life. The ability to make an impact in a technology or science area is predicated on having a critical mass of collaborative faculty. To that end, the College of Engineering at Iowa State University will hire new faculty in "clusters," a group of faculty with common research and other scholarship interests in a technology or science area. Their efforts will contribute toward meeting society's new challenges while also bringing innovation to instruction by teaching across departmental boundaries.

Applications for tenure-track, nine-month, full-time positions at all ranks (assistant, associate, and full professor) are encouraged. Positions are available in the following engineering disciplines

  • Electrical and Computer

Required qualifications
PhD degree in the appropriate field, demonstrated potential to excel in the classroom, and demonstrated potential to establish and maintain a productive externally funded research program. For associate or full professor positions, candidates must, in addition, have an excellent record of externally funded research and internationally recognized scholarship.
